Membership is broken down into the following classes:
Registered Member in Good Standing To become a registered member, the applicant must have i) a Cardiology Technology diploma from an accredited school, ii) successfully challenged the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT) registration exam, and iii) paid all applicable membership dues/fees in full. A Registered Member in Good Standing has the right to vote, hold an elected office of the Association, and use an occupational title. |
Registered Member not in Good Standing A Registered Member not in Good Standing is any member that holds a valid diploma in Cardiology Technology from an accredited school and has successfully challenged the CSCT registration exam but i) has not paid all applicable membership dues/fees or submitted required CEUs or ii) has been suspended. These members do not have the right to vote or hold an elected office of the Association. All outstanding dues/applicable fees and CEUs must be submitted to attain good standing. |
Inactive member Any member who has met all qualification standards, paid all applicable dues/fees, and submitted all CEUs but has self-declared that they are not actively working in the field. Inactive Members do not have the right to vote, but may hold an elected office of the Association. |
Student member To become a student member, an applicant must i) be enrolled in a Cardiology Technology program from an accredited school, ii) be eligible to challenge the CSCT registration exam upon completion of said program, and iii) pay all applicable dues/fees. Student members do not have the right to vote, hold an elected office of the Association, or use an occupational title. |
